The Kueser Akademie für Europäische Geistesgeschichte e.V. is an association for science and further education based in Bernkastel-Kues, founded in 2009 as a non-university research institution and educational provider. It is the seat of the joint scientific institution of the universities of Mainz, Oldenburg and Trier.
According to the resolution of the municipal council of the Bernkastel-Kues municipality, the Kueser Akademie für Europäische Geistesgeschichte has also been carrying out the activities of the VHS (Volkshochschule) Bernkastel-Kues since March 2014.
The Kueser Akademie für Europäische Geistesgeschichte e.V. (further education department with VHS Bernkastel-Kues) has successfully completed its quality development process according to LQW (learner-oriented quality in further education) and is part of the LQW network.
